Transition Information 2021-2022
Induction Day – All pupils who are due to start at Radyr Comprehensive are invited to spend the day with us. They will start to get to know their new classmates and experience the school during break times and the lunch hour. They will meet their new form tutor and spend time with the pastoral team – Wednesday 29th June 2022 – Arrive at Sports Hall for 08:45
New Intake Evening – Parents Only. This is an opportunity for you, as parents, to be welcomed into the school. You will have the opportunity to meet members of the Year 7 Team. Unfortunately, we do not have the space to extend this invitation to Year 6 children. We will also be joined by the PTA and our uniform supplier. Distribution of Year 7 Induction booklet – Wednesday 29th June 2022 – 18:00 in Sports Hall
PE Induction Morning – All pupils will join up for a carousel of sporting activities. The aim is to have fun and familiarise your child with our extensive sports facilities.
For the day pupils will require suitable sports trainers, shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt. They will require a water bottle to keep hydrated when participating in activities – Thursday
30th June 2022 – Arrive at RCS Sports Hall at 09:00 for a 09:30 start – Pupils collected from Sports Hall at 12:00.
Radyr Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening
Our Radyr Sixth Form Open Evening takes place virtually this year.
Applications for September 2022 are now open.
Our Radyr Sixth Form Open Evening playlist contains video presentations for all the subjects we offer at sixth form. Year 11 students will be emailed a Microsoft Form in January to make their subject choices.

Reporting Student Absence
If your child is absent for any reason, please only contact the school via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If email is not readily available then please telephone the attendance line on 0292 0845121. Please do not do both.
There is no need to contact your child’s form tutor, teacher or the key stage office as we will inform them accordingly.
