Radyr Comprehensive School are pleased to be taking part in the Erasmus+ DaDA project.
The aim of this project is to “develop a digital academy” in partnership with schools in three other European countries – Turkey, Spain and Germany.
Two of our teachers have been designing and developing best practice guidelines, teacher training materials and classroom materials to be used as a basis for teaching across these countries.
Four of our students have been learning to use new equipment and new software and have founded a student company RadCo to develop their digital skills and business acumen. They will be producing a range of customised products that will launch soon – watch this space!
I have now received confirmation from the Local Authority regarding the state funeral for her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As you are probably aware, the official date of the state funeral is 19 September and is deemed a bank holiday. As a result, the school will not be open.
Kind regards
Mr A D Williams Headteacher Radyr Comprehensive School
I have been informed by the contractors working on the water leak that it is unlikely to be repaired in time for the canteen to offer hot food tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Local Authority Catering Service, which runs our school canteen, will offer sandwiches and snacks, but these will be quite limited. Therefore, my advice is that pupils should bring a packed lunch tomorrow. Food will be provided by the Catering Service for those pupils eligible for free school meals.
Again, many apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. I will provide you with a further update tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards Mr A D Williams Headteacher Radyr Comprehensive School
