Important Information For All Year 12 Students

Year 12

Hope you are all well and doing ok. Next week you were due to embark on study leave, to allow you to have time to revise for your examinations. As the summer examination period will not be taking place, teaching will continue instead.

It is important you regularly check the Show My Homework platform and if you have difficulties logging in, please email Mr Hardy at p.hardy@radyr.net who has all students’ login details. Your teachers are regularly setting work for you via this platform and via email. It is important that you keep up to date with this work and if you are struggling, that you ask for help from your teachers and the Sixth Form team. All of us are keen to support you through these difficult times to ensure that you all continue to make progress.

I will continue to forward you information and opportunities daily, that get sent to me from universities, employers and other organisations and you will also find links to many of these on our Radyr Sixth Form Twitter site (@RadyrSixthForm).

As the summer term progresses, there will be an increasing focus on giving you guidance and support with careers, apprenticeships, school leavers programmes and university applications. We are preparing for every eventuality and you will receive all the support you need, whether we are back in school or working remotely.

In terms of the Welsh Baccalaureate, it is vital that you all complete the work that is being set by your teachers. Miss Willis has reminded you by email this morning of the community task that has been set. Please ensure this is completed and sent to your teachers as a priority.

As I have said previously, please get in touch with us if you struggling with the work that has been set or if you have any other worries. The Sixth Form team, your form tutors and your subject teachers are all here for you and are keen to help and guide you through this very difficult time.

Best wishes

Dr Roe
