Coloured badges for year groups

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we are now in a position where all year groups are back in school full time, I would be most grateful if you could discuss the following information with your child this evening:

1. Coloured badges have been handed out to all pupils in years 7-11 in tutor time today to enable us to easily differentiate between different contact groups. The colour coding system will work as follows:

  • Year 7 – pink
  • Year 8 – black
  • Year 9 – white
  • Year 10 – green
  • Year 11 –  yellow

Badges need to be worn on jumpers at all times. If pupils take off their jumper during the day then they need to put it the bade tie. Could you please ensure your child is wearing their badge when they leave for school each day.

2. Please can you also remind your child that they must go to their allocated year group areas in the morning when they arrive on site and only go to the block/ classroom they are in for first lesson after the first bell. This applies to lessons throughout the day to avoid year groups/contact groups unnecessarily mixing. After lunch pupils are not to go to the block they are in for lesson 4 until the changeover bell sounds.

The areas are as shown below:

  • Year 7 – Outside humanities (upper hall if raining)
  • Year 8 – Lower tennis courts (lower hall if raining)
  • Year 9 – Bottom quad or Year 9 common room
  • Year 10 – Middle quad or Year 10 common room
  • Year 11 – Year 11 common room
  • Year 12 and 13 – 6th Form block

3. Finally, could I please remind you that the face coverings provided by the Local Authority for use on school transport and in communal areas of the school need to be washed daily.

As ever, many thanks for your continued support.

Kind Regards

Mrs C Robins
